Jimmy Kimmel is not afraid to get litigious in 2024. The comedian blasted NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the social media platform X after Rodgers insinuated that Kimmel might appear on the apparently soon-to-be-released list of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged associates.

Rodgers made the unsavory comments about Kimmel and the financier while appearing as a guest on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show. “There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are really hoping that list doesn’t come out,” said Rodgers from his wine cellar. “I’ll tell you what, if that list comes out, I definitely will be popping some sort of bottle.”

Kimmel was having none of it, and threatened Rodgers with legal action if he continued implying that the comedian had any connection with Epstein, who was a convicted sex offender and died in jail while awaiting trial. “Dear Aasshole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality,” Kimmel posted on X. “Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.”

Rodgers may have taken a shot at Kimmel due to jokes the comedian has made about Rodgers on Jimmy Kimmel Live! In March of 2023, Kimmel roasted Rodgers for his interest in UFOs as well as Epstein's client list, saying, “All this UFO talk has the tin foil hatters going wild, including Green Bay whack packer Aaron Rodgers.” Kimmel then shared a clip of Rodgers on the Pat McAfee show, where Rodgers brought up Epstein’s client list in relation to aliens.

“I believe that this has been going on for a long time,” said Rodgers. “Interesting timing on everything. There’s a lot of other things going on in the world. Did you hear about the Epstein client list about to be released? There’s some files that have some names on it that might be getting released pretty soon.”

“It might be time to revisit that concussion protocol, Aaron,” quipped Kimmel during the monologue.
